The Warner Theater is one of Washington D.C. leading performing arts venues and a personal favorite.  First built in 1924 this wonderful theater is a destination for national and international recording artists and the finest in theatrical, dance, and television presentations.

The National Theater, just three blocks from the White House, is also known as “The Theater of Presidents.”  For 165 years the National Theatre has been a part of the history of the United States.  Opening on December 7, 1835, virtually every great stage performer of the past century has appeared here.

The Kennedy Center produces and presents an unmatched variety of theater and musicals, dance and ballet, orchestral, chamber, jazz, popular, and folk music and multi-media performances for all ages.

The Smithsonian is one the nation’s cultural treasures and it’s located in our own back yard.  In addition to its 14 museums and the National Zoo, the Smithsonian Institute sponsors events, research and exhibitions.  This website is a great introduction to this extraordinary resource.
